About Quality Cutting Tools

Quality Cutting Tools is a western Canadian owned company with offices in Saskatoon, SK and Edmonton, AB. The company opened in 1990 in Saskatoon primarily selling cutting tools and supplies to local machine shops and manufacturers. Today, Quality Cutting Tools services customers throughout western Canada with products from the industries leading suppliers. The company expanded in 1992 into the compressed gas business when they began to distribute compressed gas bottles throughout Saskatchewan and Western Manitoba. 1994 brought about more changes as Quality Cutting Tools took on the distribution rights for Kennametal Inc.; the largest manufacturer of cutting tools in North America.

Meanwhile, Quality Cutting Tools opened it's second store in Regina to service the southern part of Saskatchewan, while expanding into the machine tool industry selling manual metalworking equipment such as lathes and mills. These changes progressed into the sales and service of computerized numerically controlled (CNC) machines.

Quality Cutting Tools currently works alongside suppliers from around the world including; China, Taiwan, Japan, USA, England, and Germany. These relationships enable us to provide the best match between the customer and supplier.

Anticipating our customers need for automation and round-the-clock, accurate access to product, Quality Cutting Tools began working with AutoCrib; a California based inventory control software company. Autocrib incorporated their software with candy bar vending machines converted to dispense tooling for the metalworking industry. Quality Cutting Tools was the first company to use this technology, and installed Saskatchewans first autocrib in 2000. As the vending business continued to grow, Quality Cutting Tools began working with Supply Point's ToolBoss system. ToolBoss boasts sturdy hardware designed to meet the specific needs of our industry, while their software program allows advanced inventory control on a user-friendly platform. All of Quality Cutting Tools customers have been converted to the ToolBoss system and we remain the leader in installs in Saskatchewan and Alberta.

Quality Cutting Tools continues to offer our customers technological solutions and services to improve business results. We have trained service personnel to take care of our customers long after the initial sale. We are proud of the fact that we know our customers on a first name basis and that we still start our deals with a handshake.
